i am spinning.
around and right around again.
big smile stretching my lips.
my eyes are wide open. and i shut them in bliss.
i throw my arms out.
my fingers quiver as they embrace life.
the firm press of your palm,
cupping the small of my back.
you are laughing and your brown eyes are liquid.
you are helping me to spin.
and we are alive in each other.
i wonder when i woke up?
my head is throbbing.
my throat is brittle with pain.
i ache for some water.
i feel the weight of him press down on me.
i know now without a doubt,
that i am choking.
the shallow grave opens up behind me.
the cold clammy rocks, dig.
i hurt and i am tired.
i watch him grunt, and feel his foul smell.
how long will this take?
i am ready now and i shudder.
the pale blue sky is just beyond.
